Linkages: Connecting the Dots in the Baldrige Criteria
In this interactive workshop, we’ll help you take your understanding of Baldrige to a whole new level by exploring “linkages” - the not-always-obvious connections in the Baldrige Criteria that contribute to alignment and integration of organizational needs, processes, and results. We’ll define four types of linkages, provide examples of each, and show you easy ways to identify them in the Criteria.

MEDRAD: Strategic Direction and Execution Excellence
MEDRAD will present its 2010 Baldrige story during a two-part workshop, with each part featuring an extended panel Q&A discussion. The first part, Strategic Direction, includes Leadership, Strategic Planning, and Customer Focus; the second part, Execution Excellence, will focus on Workforce Focus, MAKM, and Process Management.
John Friel and Rose Almon-Martin will both be presenting during the workshop and will also be the panelists. |

- "Now which way do we go?" -- On the Journey to Oz, Dorothy 'believed.' Using the Wizard of Oz as a metaphor, Abington Memorial Hospital will focus on its experience with Category 2 to guide improvement, integration and alignment.
- Customer-Driven Excellence – Building a Customer-Focused Culture --Heraeus Electro-Nite will present how Voice of the Customer and Customer Engagement have evolved throughout its organization. It will also discuss how using the Baldrige Criteria enables the organization to develop customer-focused behaviors in its daily operations.

- Writing a KAPE Application: The Voice of Experience - This breakout will begin with a brief presentation outlining the basic steps in writing a KAPE application. Then, a panel of veteran application writers will share their experiences - what worked and what didn’t - and answer your questions about writing an application.
- Delinda Pendleton, Director of Quality Management with Fox Chase Cancer Center will share how Fox Chase approaches process management.
- KAPE: It's More Than Submitting An Application - This breakout features a panel discussion with senior leaders who will share their approaches for getting the most from a state program.
